Before I formed you in the womb,
I knew you.

A prophet to the nations.

So come and see what is waiting in my heart,
Rise with me as we cover the Earth.
Like a mighty flood flowing through the nations,
Oh, Let go of lesser gods.

In the dark and cold of night, in the shadows do I hide.
Running from an unseen hand, falling down and down again.
but I know You'll rescue me, I know that You'll be here
in times of trouble, times of need, I know I need not fear.

'cause You are God.
You are the Alpha and Omega.
You take my hand and lead me through the crashing sea and sandy plains,
and You never let me go because You are my God.

You lift me up out of the depth, quiet me and let me rest;
in Your strength I find my peace, Your Father's heart sings out to me.
I could never comprehend what You see in me,
but in Your arms I will remain where broken hearts are healed again,
no blemishes, no sin is found, the glory of the Lord is all around.

Hiding in that same dark corner that you found me in
Why do I worry, why do I sin
When I know there's something better

How did I lose sight of Your face
I don't even know how I wound up in this place
Now I'm counting on Your grace
To lead me on to something better

Lead me to a place where I can belong
Lead me to a place where I rest in Your arms

I know the story of the prodigal son and
How he was welcomed home after all he had done
So I know you'll embrace me
When I get there,

God moves in a mysterious way
His wonders to perform;

Standing on the bank of the Red Sea:
How will You deliver me?
Marching 'round the walls of Jericho:
How could we expect to ever conquer this stronghold?

Nothing is impossible, nothing is impossible,
Nothing is impossible for my Lord Jesus.

Stepping through the gates of Nineveh:
Will my witness be enough?
Returning from the battle with Gideon:
Now can we overcome there foreign gods here in Canaan?

Be strong and courageous
Do not be dismayed
For the Lord, our God, is with us,
And nothing is too hard for Yahweh!

Watching at the tomb of Lazarus:
Can even death be overcome?

When God pours out His Spirit on His people,
The ordinary things of life can fade away;
But don't you lose perspective when it hits you
'Cause ordinary people like you need what you could give away.

With everything in you, as hard as you can, as soon as you can,
Wherever He leads you, as well as you can, as long as you can, go.
To the hurting, go, to the weak, go,
To the hungry, to the blind,
To the lonely, go, to the shy, go,
To the naked, to the lost, go.

The Lily of the Midnight Sky is calling,
The ocean on the sandy beach is rising high,
The water in this healing wave is breaking,
Messiah Jesus and the New Jerusalem is drawing nigh.

Arise, shine, for your light has come,
And the glory of the Lord God has dawned upon you.
For behold, over all the land
Dark and deepest gloom is a shroud upon the peoples.
But over you the Lord will rise,
And His glory will be made manifest among you, among you.

Nations will stream to your light,
And kings to your dawning bright.
Your gates will be open, by day or by night, they won't close.
Arise, shine!

You will be called the dwelling place,
And the City of the Most Holy One, Jehovah.
Salvation will replace your walls,
And your city gates will resound with praise forever.
Violence and the careless waste
Of the human race will all be erased. Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

The moon will not shine in any night,
And the stars will fade to black, out of sight.
And the sun will bow before the radiant glory of the Lamb
When the kingdom of this world
Has become the Kingdom of our God!

In the time of the flood, when violence ruled the earth,
The water rose, covering all the world's corruption.
And in our day, there is a flood, though violence rule the earth,
Covering all the earth with the knowledge of our God.

Everything is moving, everything is moving
Everything is moving to Your throne.
Everything will bow down, everything will bow down
Everything will bow down ... around this throne.

Every nation, every knee
Every wayward son, every king
Every angel, every saint
All the conquerors, and all the slain

Every poet, every priest
All the homeless, every thief
Every tribe and race, every tongue
Every neighbor I have known
